Hello,
My name’s Jess, and I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor in Bristol offering inclusive, integrative counselling for adults, teenagers and young people.
Knowing where to start can be confusing. There are many different types of therapy and it throws up a lot of questions. ‘How does it work?’ ‘How do I know if it’s right for me?’ I hope to make it clearer with the information below, however if you still have questions, please reach out and ask.
About me
I’m a person-centred integrative counsellor. Simply put, this means I’m able to use different methods to best support you. I don’t analyse or diagnose, instead, I will work with you to understand what you need and how I can best help, at a pace that feels right for you.
My style of therapy is also trauma-informed and incorporates emotional exploration and psychoeducation. I believe understanding what’s happening in our brains and bodies can be empowering, helping you make sense of your experiences and take what we discuss in sessions into everyday life.
I’m trained to work with adults, young people and children (aged 11+) and have a strong focus on, and I am passionate about, working with neurodivergent clients. My practice is informed by specialised training and an in-depth understanding of how neurodivergence can impact mental health, relationships, identity, and daily life. I offer a neuro-affirming approach that centres understanding, collaboration, and education.
I also have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship issues, ADHD, autism, sexuality, gender, and identity. I work both online and in person.
I have huge respect for all my clients and for people seeking therapy. I love my work, and I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy; there can be lightness and even laughter alongside the hard work.
If you’re curious but don’t know if it’s the right fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to answer questions or have an informal chat before booking anything in.

How it works
-
1. Get In Touch
Please fill out the contact form below and share a little about what’s been going on for you or anything you feel would be helpful for me to know. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
-
2. Phone Call
We can arrange a 15 min phone call, which is free of charge, to see if I am the right fit for you. I welcome questions and would recommend you see this as interviewing me to see if I could be someone you’d like to work with. We can skip this part if you'd rather book straight in.
-
3. Initial Session
We book in an initial session to discuss things in more detail. This can be just one session, while you decide If I am right for you, or you can book in a block of sessions depending how many you want. This session is charged as my standard rate.
-
Length of Counselling
I offer flexible counselling, from short-term work to longer-term support. We can explore what feels most helpful for you.
-
My Prices
My fee is £60 per session. Each session is 50 minutes long. I offer a small number of concessionary-rate sessions. If cost is a barrier, please feel free to get in touch so we can explore options together.
My Therapy room,
I practice from a lovely room in Bristol City centre near Park Street. I have two different spaces depending on the day. It is centrally located and has well connecting bus routes, and local parking near by. It unfortunately is not wheel chair accessible. Please contact me for the full address.
If you aren’t able to make it in person, I also offer online sessions.
